Scott commenced his career in the strata management industry with Body Corporate Professionals in 1998 becoming a full partner of this business in 2003. He has a proven track record of assisting committees and owners with complex community title issues. He has worked in consultation with a number of successful developers who have attributed to the growth of the Sunshine Coast.
He is well regarded throughout the profession, particularly with supporting developers with the establishment of new schemes and has also been recognised as an expert in the re-calculation of lot entitlements, having represented bodies corporate and lot owners in submissions and hearings before QCAT, Specialist Adjudication and the District Court.
Scott has previously held a directorship with the Community Titles Institute of Queensland (now known as Strata Community Association). This is the peak industry body supporting all industry stakeholders. Scott is currently a member of the SCA (Qld) Legislation Committee Panel that is responsible for preparing sufficient representation to Government and meaningful submissions reflecting member’s interests regarding any proposed changes to legislation relevant to the Strata Industry.
In 2013, Scott was elected as a Fellow of Strata Community Australia (Qld) for meritorious services to the institute and continues to be actively involved in ongoing education through presenting at seminars and conferences when available.
